Trust God’s Timing

I once read on social media, “I remember the days when I prayed for what I have today”, and I felt that on a deeper level, because today I am so thankful for God’s Grace and work in my life, all that I have right now is only thanks to Him, and His grace that I absolutely don’t deserve.

However, it is important for me to tell you that I wasn’t always seeing things this way. I remember the days when I was so frustrated and angry with God because He did not answer my prayers the way I wanted, He did not answer as fast as I expected. Some of you may know what I am talking about. I was so frustrated and asked God « What I am not doing right? What am I doing wrong? Why are you doing this to me? » I suffered so much. First because I was not satisfied with what I had, but also because I was so impatient. And it’s still something I trying to work on.

I don’t think I’m the only one in this situation. Today I want to tell you: Trust God’s Timing. God’s plan for each of us is a wonderful plan, He knows what He has planned for you, He is able to do infinitely, abundantly, far beyond anything you can think of, and He will do all these things in His perfect timing. Patience is a virtue and but patience is also a fruit of the Spirit, we must be able to develop and water this fruit, it will save us a lot of frustration, save our faith from being shaken and allow us to be in peace with ourselves but also with our God. The fact that the answer takes time to arrive doesn’t mean that God doesn’t listen to us, we just have to learn to be patient. There is certainly a reason why things do not change or evolve, only God knows.

God doesn’t take pleasure in seeing you suffer, He does not take pleasure in frustrating you, God loves you, and wants the best for you. We all have extraordinary plans for our « well-established » lives in our heads. There are times when our plans don’t always work as we wish, although they may seem to work. But God’s plan is perfect. We need to learn to trust Him and abandon ourselves to Him, He is the one who will take us exactly where we need to be, because he knows what is good for us and planned the best for us. Let’s take time to breathe, give God His place in our lives and learn to listen to Him. The road will not always be easy, it’s true. One thing is certain, the harder the fight, the better the victory. Moreover, God did not promise us that our life on this would be easy and perfect, but He tells us that there is a time and a season for everything. Your moment is coming, your season of glory will soon knock on your door, just trust His Timing.

Finally dear brothers and sisters, I want tell you « live for today ». We are too eager for what will happen tomorrow that we forget to live. We forget that the future is planned in the present. Let’s take the time to appreciate what God is doing for us today, we got up this morning, let’s say thank you, be grateful for His love, and His grace. We do not know what tomorrow will look like, so we need to celebrate God and His works in our lives today. He knows what tomorrow will be about, this should be another reason for us to trust Him.

“ Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.” – Proverbs 27:1.

Let us pray more, seek to enter into communion with our God, ask for his help and submit to his word. The plan he has for you will surprise you, He will go far beyond all your expectations, it may not be what you want to do, but that’s what you were creating. May His will be done, remember? God knows better.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you, and plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call me and come to me, and I will listen to you. “- Jeremiah 29-11-12

Seek His Kingdom, and God will provide everything.
